Summary
After the death of his family, Derek is pretty turned around, but a well-placed comic book gives him an idea: Why not use his werewolf powers to do something good? He dons a mask and begins life as a supernatural vigilante, hunting down criminals in the dark underbelly of NYC.
Across the country and all around the world, news of the masked hero spreads, until it falls in the lap of one Stiles Stilinski. After the death of his father, he's looking for somewhere to put his hurt, and he figures - if someone else is playing superhero, maybe he can too. Armed with his father's old armor kit and dark sarcasm, he works to unfold the conspiracy behind his father's murder.
The deeper they each delve, the closer together Stiles and Derek come until they cross paths on the same case and have to decide whether or not they can trust the other to work with and see it through.

Summary
Stiles looks at the man. “And what’s your name?”
“Derek. You probably think we’re irresponsible for letting a five-year-old watch MMA fights,” he responds with a small smile on his face.
“Not at all, I was probably watching worse things at his age,” Stiles says. Which is true. Stiles was such a problem child, which is why his dad was shocked when he turned out to be an omega.
Derek smiles more and looks at Dakota. “We have our suspicions that Koko will be an omega. So,” Derek looks back at Stiles, “is that a thing with omegas? Watching things they aren’t supposed to?”
Stiles laughs. “Just because alphas are boring doesn’t mean everyone else has to be.”
Derek raises his eyebrows with a laugh. “Damn. I’d heard about your contempt for alphas but I didn’t think you’d try to wound me so deeply.”

Summary
He takes the sandwich out of its container and is about to take the biggest bite out of it that the world’s ever seen when Stiles hears something. He doesn’t know what exactly he hears, whether it’s a strong gust of wind, a rustling of leaves, or the sounds of an animal. He doesn’t know, but whatever it is, it makes the hair at the back of his neck stand up in alert.
Looking around, he initially doesn’t see anything, not even a deer which, let's be honest, it probably was. This is the woods after all. Then, the second before he’s about to go back to his sandwich, he sees it.
It’s a fucking wolf.
Now there are two things running through Stiles’ mind at this moment. One, holy fucking shit I’m about to be mauled to death by a wolf, and two, why the hell is there a wolf in California?

Summary
“Hello,” the boy says as he stands to his full height. He’s shorter than Derek, a lot shorter, so when he comes closer, he has to look up at Derek to maintain eye contact. “You’re the boy who was staring at me earlier.”
Derek’s brain short circuits. What is he supposed to say to that?
Fortunately for Derek, the boy doesn’t give him a chance to respond.
“I’m Stiles,” the boy —Stiles— says, while holding his hand out.
Derek shakes it and oh, god, his skin is so soft. Derek wants to run his hands all over Stiles' body. Which is very creepy, but Derek never claimed to be a sane individual.
“I’m Derek.”
