Summary
You don’t know what you expected when the Pines’ pulled you aside after a tutoring lesson but it wasn’t a job offer. Sure, with Gravity Falls High basically kicking you out of your rooms, a steady gig would be great. Only you didn’t expect to wind up tutoring Dipper and Mabel full time while moving into the shack.
But your friends are all getting married and being in your late twenties, this seems better than unemployment.
That does not mean you expect to find your place in the Pines family as though that was where you were always meant to be. More than that, you don’t expect the slew of confusingly warm and fluttery feelings for Stanley Pines. If you had, you probably wouldn’t have signed up to live with the man. Unbeknownst to you, Stan is starting to feel the same way.
(The summary is bad but the story is good, trust me!)

Lalette Hargreeves was one of the biggest stars of her time. She was beautiful, had the voice of an angel, and nearly 10 years in the limelight, she was still a spry 16 year old. No one really knew how her powers really worked, but it kept her young and she never had to deal with a hangover after a night of partying. She was happy with her life. She proved her father wrong. She didn't need him or that stupid Umbrella Academy. She wasn't a superhero, she was a star. She would never return home, because it was too painful to relive her past. She didn't like remembering the cruelty of being raised by her strict father, having to train like a super soldier, or being reminded of her best friend, who disappeared so long ago. So when Reginald dies over a decade later, Lalette has no choice but return home and see her similarly emotionally stunted siblings. What she didn't expect was to see Five fall out of a time vortex and looking not a day older than the day he disappeared with news that the world was going to end in eight days. Unwillingly she's pulled back into the Umbrella Academy and forced to save the world like her father said she always would. At least she could drink this time around.
