Summary
Being a Parselmouth came with the inherent predisposition to understand snake behaviours and imitate them. It was relieving Harry wasn’t going to kill anyone with venom, nor petrify them with his gaze. But also, somewhat frustrating as it was all completely useless. None of the skills that came with being a Parselmouth would help Harry survive Voldemort.
It might, in fact, have the opposite effect. For all Riddle's fury that Harry was the cause of his elder self’s defeat, he was fascinated by the fact Harry was also a Parselmouth. He had grabbed Harry’s face, turning him side to side looking bemusedly enraptured by Harry’s threat display. “At your age, I was imitating much more vicious snakes than this, Harry.”
That may have been all well and good, but Harry didn’t feel very vicious. He felt very threatened and in over his head.

Ned shoved a bright purple tamagotchi into Peter’s hands.
“What is this?” Peter asked.
“That’s Karen.”
Peter looked between Ned and the tamagotchi. “What?”
“I ran out of room on the external drive,” Ned said.
Peter blinked at the tamagotchi. A tiny circle with a face was bouncing around the screen. There was a little pixelated skull in the corner. “You downloaded Karen onto a tamagotchi?”
“My mom was coming! I panicked!”

Peter nodded, a smile spreading across his lips. “Yeah! This is awesome! Though I expect that it will be a little harder when the classes start, right?”
“Right,” the dean said weakly.
Tony supressed his laughter. He had no doubt that Peter had just solved an equation that the dean hadn’t set up, but rather what a current class was working on. Tony could correct him, but he wanted to show Peter off.
