Neither had bothered to move it, even as Amir moved into the backrooms with them.

    But, evidently, his partner had done some redecorating.

    Even from where he sat, he could spot the vibrant orange collar that now rested on the mannequin’s neck, complete with a short, thick leash, the loop of which rested in its odd plasticine hand.
