Summary
Enduring the suffocating weight of the crumbling state of her marriage, Uzumaki-Hyūga Hinata struggles with the reality that the life she was living was far different from what she imagined. Finding herself face to face with her only chance at rewriting her unfulfilling life, Hinata is transported to the year 1993–just about 14 months before the Uchiha Massacre were to happen. Taking up the task to raise a newly orphaned, trauma stricken Uchiha Sasuke, Hinata learns what it means to find her passion in life once again.
Tackling the realities of PTSD, and its comorbid counterparts, Off The Record is a Slice-of-Life story that is both tragic and heartwarming. It follows the lives of both Uzumaki-Hyūga Hinata [Himawari], Uchiha Sasuke, and anyone willing to tag along for their bumpy journey.
[!] A character study wherein the situation changes the reactions of the characters. Told through the eyes of a ‘civilian’ woman and her imperfectly-perfect family.

She’s gotten used to it; she craved it from time to time. Never would she have thought that she would get to the point where Sasuke’s proximity did not cause annoyance or anger to arise. How far have they come that warmth and affection bubbled in her heart, watering the flowers in the pits of her stomach, and caused the clouds in her head to burst with warm, welcoming rain. She knew it was the same for him too.
But there was something that felt off. Something about his behaviour over the past few days; the worry in his eyes, his lingering touches, that fear in his eyes that she would disappear—that he won’t be around anymore.
