Summary
The Demon King has been defeated, but some things can't be undone. Link loses his arm to gloom, and Zelda's draconification can only partially be reversed. The two are left to navigate just how much they have been changed by what happened. It's a lot harder to do when all of Hyrule expects them to be the same.

Summary
The first time Josha saw Link praying at the four-eyed statue in her workshop, she met the sight with mild curiosity. She wasn't sure why a Hylian was praying at the broken statue, but surely it was just an odd quirk of the Hero. There was no mystery to solve, no history to unravel, and no work to be done.
Surely.
The third time she saw him praying, she knew that there was.

Summary
“You know I don’t mind,” she says, gliding feather soft fingertips down the length of his arms until she’s tracing a scar from his elbow to his wrist. “I think they’re-“
“They’re not.”
Zelda fixes him with a look that’s full of pity and something else he can’t place. He averts his eyes, drawing his arms to himself and out of her grasp. There’s a moment of thick, heavy silence between them before she slides off and to the side of him instead. Guilty, Link turns his body to face her and wraps her in his arms, murmuring an apology with lips pressed to her forehead.
