Fuck. That was not a good thing to say. Stop deflecting, Micheal. You’re the one instigating things.
Will just stared at him, unresponsive. Then, he turned away, directing his attention to a different box.
Mike crumbled, again; Everything softened: his posture, attitude, and his tone. “Will- I’m sorry.. It seems like all I'm doing is being an asshole.. I should’ve told you, and everyone.. Like I made you do- I realise now that it is not at all a good position to be in..”
He sucked in a breath. “It’s just.. I’m scared- and I don't know what to do this time”

Summary

Summary
He recognizes the vulnerability underneath the hush, the way his voice carries gently and delicately, and Mike knows he’s about to stumble on something private. Mike tucks himself against the wall of the lobby, in a secluded corner, making sure to quiet his steps and his breathing.
Mike can sense the conversation is a tender thing, so he doesn’t barge in to retrieve them just yet. But he also doesn’t leave.
Because if there was one flaw to Mike, one trait that still stuck with him from childhood, it was his tendency to be nosy.

Summary
Mike had fully accepted his death this time. He was ready. He accepted the terrible person he was inside and readied himself for a deserved, painful death. But it never came, and as Mike's chest flutters and his heart thumps against his ribs, he feels he is getting one more chance for a reason this time.
And that reason is Will.
