Before him stands the boy Beomgyu had seen fall from the sky. The same boy he had seen pulled from the water. The same blissfully peaceful face laid against a soft white pillow. But his cheeks now are brushed with pink from the sun, eyes wide and blinking, shoulders rising with every shallow breath.
Choi Beomgyu agreed to look through the USB drive of the man he witnessed die at the Cheonggyecheon Stream for a grieving mother. He doesn’t quite remember the part where he agreed to go back in time to save the man’s life.
