Though he told her numerous times not to refer to him as such, the nickname becomes hers to explicitly use.
“He’s a new member of the Express. He’ll be visiting with me again next time—” There’s that smile again. The same smile she uses whenever she refers to him. “—if he chooses to, of course.”
