Xie Lian begins to understand now, why this man would have chosen him and Hua Cheng to pray to. Given how widespread the knowledge about their marriage has become, and the fact that there are not many other deities so openly gay, oftentimes people with queer romantic dilemmas pray to the two of them for help. People also have been more frequently praying to Xie Lian with concerns of dead loved ones, ghosts, and the afterlife, likely due to his known connection with Ghost City and Hua Chengzhu himself.
This case seems to fit both conditions.

Lee Sa-young forgot his umbrella on a rainy day when someone throws their school blazer over his head and drags him through the rain towards his house and leaves just as quickly. He becomes curious at the strange boy who appeared and disappeared just as suddenly and begins to intentionally leave his umbrella at home, hoping for rainy days.
While he may not recognize him, Cha Eui-jae certainly recognizes Sa-young, and what starts out as an attempt to repay a little kindness spirals when two lonely people become each other's only.
