Alastor may just be a fuck buddy, but Lucifer decides to show him his finally fully decorated room anyway. A bit of their usual arguing leads to sex, just like Lucifer was hoping for, but part of the way through Alastor insults his cute little duckie bed (rude, not just for the insult, but for stopping in the middle of fucking his brains out to do so). Horny and impatient, Lucifer gives him permission to fix it so they can get back to business. Definitely not his best plan.

Vera's awful at birthdays- especially her own. Nobody quite ever seems to remember the day between her and Chloe's. Well, maybe one other person remembers it, but not one Vera expects. There's no reason why a drinking buddy should know her birthday. There's no reason why another woman should have the same limp-wrist grip to an alcohol bottle, or a makeup-caked waterline, or the same crinkle of the mouth that doesn't meet the eyes when they stare at each other over the tiny plate of cake.
“Why are you– the cake. Why are you being nice to me?”
A moment passes in that horrible silence. Two, four, ten then. Michiko says nothing. When Vera’s face deepens into an ugly scowl, the geisha flinches backwards. Vera screams– it's unbefitting, so loud that she’s sure the people in the nearest hall bedrooms could hear, but she screams.
“Can’t you say something!?”
“I’m…” And her voice is so, so small. “I don’t understand. Why am I being nice to you?”
