Ganyu pulls down her mask. "Keqing?" she repeats, mouth slightly parted.
She tries to smile. It comes out more like a grimace. "Hi."
Ningguang purses her lips. "Do you know each other?"
"No," says Keqing quickly. "No. We don’t."
It turns out six years after they've cut off all communication is when everything begins.

god . wow i'm having kl feels two years after I gave up on the show but yeah reread this bc I remember loving mothpoem's fics and they did not disappoint
24/9/2021: GOD i reread this and i thought that the note above might have just been me exaggerating how much i liked this fic but it left me aching for love. truly. it’s the fic with lance leaving on their way back home to find himself + the sunset double proposal + bar & keith & a goodbye to lance with a letter that had lance laying out his everything for keith to see. love this so much seriously. mothpoem ik you’ve left the fandom for good and so have i but if you see this i hope you know how deeply this fic touched me. the feeling of home & the way the writing was able to make me feel the familiarity and comfort lance feels in cuba especially.

There's a moment of silence, and then Lan Congyi says to Wei Wuxian, "Hanguang-Jun says he already does everything you tell him."
