Summary
He had so many questions he wanted to ask the man, things he wanted to say to him but he can’t. They fell apart seven years ago, when his pride was too frail and he was vulnerable. Essentially, Saihara Shuichi was a stranger to him, a totally different person wearing the skin of the once person he looked up to, whom he had more-than-friends feelings for and who was rejected when he offered his hand for the leader to take. Like the naive, sanguine detective he was.
Saihara let out a groaned and shifted his position, his head resting on the door with an audible thud and Kokichi winced at the noise. That must’ve left a mark, he thought before frowning when Saihara tightened his grip on the urn and went back to sleep. An ugly, nauseous feeling boiled within him from the sight and he gulped. Metaphorically, he took a hammer and worn his feelings down a few pegs or two. There wasn’t any room for something like leftover feelings now, not ever.
