Summary
Reading the same books over and over again was not a particularly great source of entertainment. So with nothing better to do—unless he wanted to go make conversation with someone, which he didn’t—Shuichi let his eyes flutter shut and listened to the sound of the rain that was pounding against his window. There was no chance of him falling asleep since it was still the middle of the day, though the grey clouds outside made it hard to discern. That and the fact that the rain noises weren’t exactly what one would find in a ‘calming rain sounds asmr’ youtube video. Which Shuichi may or may not listen to often.
Instead, the rain outside was a full-blown thunderstorm.
Or: Postgame shenanigans where Shuichi and Kokichi sneak outside and bond in the middle of a thunderstorm

Summary
Existing in a world that you weren’t made for should be considered a form of torture.
At least, that’s what Kokichi thinks. It’s been eight years since he left the virtual reality and seven years since he was discharged from the hospital. Even with all that time, he still feels out of place. Being completely alone doesn’t make it much better.
However, his monotonous lifestyle is quickly turned on its head when a face he never expected to see again appears on his door step.
Shuichi Saihara. Who has some not so great news on the whereabouts of their “classmates” and needs Kokichi’s help to find them.
Alternatively: Two boys on a not so normal road trip investigating the missing person cases of their fellow Danganronpa participants (while trying not to become one of the cases as well).

Kokichi loved to wear makeup.
No, not eyeliner and blush. Not that kind of makeup. Because Kokichi was Kokichi, and he prided himself on not being boring. What was more boring than the same makeup look that every other person in the world wore?
This group of people included Shuichi himself, who was an avid user of concealer. He was satisfied with his boring use of makeup to just cover his eye bags, thank you very much.
The makeup Kokichi wore was something much more out there. Something that could be called “clown makeup.”
Or: Kokichi suggests wearing clown makeup to meet Shuichi's parents and Shuichi finds himself not hating the idea.

The man matched his movements, once again getting in his way. “Aw man, I must be getting old. That used to work so well,” he sighed. “Unfortunately for you, I really need some cash, so you might as well pull out that wallet of yours now.” The man reached into his coat and pulled out an object.
A knife. A goddamn purple knife.

“Uh.” Shuichi wasn’t particularly sure why Ouma was talking to him. Ever since they exited the killing game, the boy had mostly kept to himself. But it wouldn’t hurt to indulge him. “A four I guess?”
“Perfect! Let’s play then,” Ouma said while pulling out the Monopoly board.
“I don’t really think four constitutes a ‘perfect.’”
“And I don’t really think there are any other board games lying around this God-forsaken hospital, so here we are!”
