Renjun had never really wondered what being in love felt like. Maybe he had wondered how one goes about falling in love, maybe once. But he came to realise it's not something one decides when he met the boy who systematically burned his tongue with his coffee, who always had cold hands and who apologised too much. And maybe all it took was to sit at this kitchen table on this new year's night, wishing he could take back every hurtful word that he had said that day, to realise there was only one person he could ever imagine being in love with.
And maybe the moment Renjun was done denying he was in love was when he could not stop imagining what kissing that boy would feel like.
