Summary
Ajax was fourteen when his life was irrevocably changed. Lost in the forest, he finds an injured fox. Unknown to him, it's no mere fox. The creature is a fox spirit. In exchange for saving its life, she in turn saves the young boy's life and blesses him with a portion of her power by bestowing an enchanted pearl. Unaware of the blessing he has obtained, Ajax goes about his life like normal.
It's not until years later, studying at a college in Liyue in an attempt at a better life, that Ajax truly receives the benefits of the pearl. Met with a life-threatening accident, the magical pearl hidden within him comes to life, conserving his energy and life force by transforming him into a fox. Stuck in the large harbor city—injured, alone, and utterly confused—the newly reborn fox wonders if he has been cursed rather than blessed. If he is to suffer a fate worse than death.
That is, until a handsome stranger happens upon the forlorn creature, intent on nursing him back to health. Zhongli quickly finds himself becoming enamored with the intelligent creature, and much like his passions for Liyue and its history, he finds that this passion is all consuming. With the fox by his side, life is beginning to look brighter.Series

“I get by.” Childe quips lightly and Morax tilts his head, delighted. “In this future.” He hums, voice low like it emits from the earth itself, a rumble like a purring cat. “Do I…” he leans forward, tilting Childe’s face up, hand moving ever so slightly closer to his mouth. “Do I kiss you upon these bloodied lips?”

After fones spread across Teyvat and the Traveler connected their many friends through group chats, Hu Tao started to take note of small suspicious details about some of them. What began as jokes became actual theories, and now she’s on a quest to figure out the truth just to satisfy her own curiosity. Ask her directly, though, and she’ll deny knowing any of this.
(Basically, a spin-off in which Hu Tao discovers everyone’s secrets.)

Summary
The Seven Stars of Liyue had ordered him tested by the adepti, in a macabre manner that had been long deemed too barbaric to be done on its citizens.
It would be safer if he was fed to the demons that still hide in the nooks and crannies of Liyue, far away from the Vigilant Yaksha’s duties. All they would have to do is sedate him and leave him in some cave known for its sacrifices. If nothing came to devour him within a day, if he was able to untie himself once he awakened, he would be allowed to go free.
Of course, Zhongli had a hand in the suggestion as well, citing an ancient place where sacrifices to gods were once made. All he had needed to do was plant that seed and allow the ever-enterprising Hu Tao volunteer a member of her staff to collect the corpse.
The Qixing doesn’t need to know that the consultant in question is in on the whole thing. Nor does Celestia need to know that he has plans.
