Caleb’s epilogue is a lonely tower of dark stone jutting like a jagged, broken blade lodged into the snow and pines in the distant north of the Cliffkeep Mountains.
His epilogue is full of cozy, lit fireplaces, mountains of books stashed in every crevice, sometimes the finest of teas and hot cocoa when Caduceus’s travels brought him this far out, and the slowly multiplying herd of cats that both Caleb and Essek have enabled over the years.
But it took long, long years before anything like it rooted in Caleb’s life.
