Summary
Chris had a way of dealing with problems. It usually entailed sticking a bullet in their heads.
Things have become more complicated since Scott McCall started calling the shots, and his goal to save everyone isn't saving Chris any headaches.
It's admirable, but Chris can't help but think that some people can't be saved.
That maybe Peter Hale didn't deserve to be saved.
He wasn't sure if he wanted to be proven wrong.

Summary
There's a natural lake in front of him, and he realizes that he must have accidentally stumbled onto Hale land, just as he spies the swimmer in the water. The hunter steps back to hide behind a tree, admiring the smooth, even strokes, appreciating the excellent form. And then the swimmer reaches the dock and pulls himself out of the water, and Chris appreciates that form a whole lot more. The guy - Hale definitely, werewolf probably - has nothing on but a pair of those tiny swimmer's briefs that do absolutely nothing to hide anything, and he's all lean muscle.

Summary
Peter is sure he saw Derek's eyes flash, just for a second. Not the piercing, familiar blue but vivid alpha red just before the flames took him. And if he untapped some alpha power inside him in that moment, well. Peter knows a thing or two about coaxing something back from the dead.
Derek dies. Peter won't accept it.
