    Following the discovery of the veiled Paradis Island, the Scouts are back to operating private contracts around the world. With new members added to the roster, Levi and Erwin are adjusting steadily to the next chapter of their lives.

    When a double request comes from Poland, a few new members join the vets in the field, splitting into two teams to accomplish the assignments. Unfortunately for the Scouts, not everything stays in the past like one would hope and Erwin and Levi must deal with the consequences when things take a turn.

    A two-part side story to Bloodroot. Contains major spoilers, but if you’re just wanting a quick action read, it should be enough for a stand-alone.

    What does a private contractor group known as the Scouts, a Russian mob, the Government, and an Arms Dealer have in common? Well, Levi thought it was the start of a stupid joke. But after stumbling into the middle of a race to discover a forgotten location called Paradis, he's no longer laughing.

    All Levi wanted was to pay off his debt and take care of Furlan and Isabel, but as Lovof begins to demand new jobs that involve artifacts from Paradis, he's sucked into a world of historical deception, heists, and the strange group dynamics of the eccentric Scouts. Erwin Smith is determined to convince Levi he's meant by his side, unaware of others who see a different value to the Ackerman.
