He needs to move, maybe get Rozanov’s attention before he loses his nerves.
And then the room tilts. His vision narrows, red light smearing into pink and white streaks. Shane staggers. The beer slips from his fingers. It shatters, foam splashing his shoes, glass skittering away. His knees give out like someone kicked him, and his hands shoot forward to hold himself upright.
His left palm lands in broken glass, though he doesn't feel it. What he notices is the certainty that everyone sees, that they can smell him—something sour and wrong. His scent, despite patches and care, has turned exposed.
OR: What if we took the club scene from episode 4 and had Shane collapse from experiencing Omega Rejection Syndrome after seeing Ilya dancing with someone else?

It starts early, or maybe Yuna notes it early, but Shane has always had a scent sensitivity. So, the fact that Ilya’s scent is equally saturated in the cottage as Shane’s is says a lot more than anything Shane could ever say to convince her and David that this relationship is the real deal.

They're sitting in the living room, Shane wearing one of Ilya’s Boston Raiders t-shirts and boxers, while Ilya is only in a pair of baggy sweatpants.
“Now, when I take interviews like this,” says Ilya, nipping the top of Shane's ear. He was so endearingly biteable. “Everyone will see that I have pretty, pretty mate.”
Shane giggles. The shorts are rucked up, showing the mark on the inside of his thigh, and Ilya loves him so much it hurts.
Ilya has never felt so happy.
Which is precisely why it shatters when they hear the door unlock, and Hayden chooses to walk right in.
Shane Hollander was a beta until one night in Vegas. Ilya Rozanov is the only one who knows and bears the mark to tell the tale of the feral omega. At least at first.
