Summary
"Did you know?" Sanji whispers, thumb rubbing over a particularly nasty scar on the back of Zoro's hand.
"What?" Zoro indulges him. Just this once. "What don't I know?"
Sanji's smile brightens. He rests a hand on Zoro's chest. He feels Zoro's beating heart beneath his palm. Then he looks up, eyes twinkling with a simple but powerful emotion.
Sanji can't handle his liquor. Zoro can't handle Sanji when he's drunk.

Summary
“A child’s fantasy is pure,” Sanji points out, his smile sympathetic and genuine. Zoro isn’t used to people looking at him like that. “There’s no dream more meaningful than one that you’ve had since you were a kid.”
“How would you know that?”
Sanji’s smile turns weary. Zoro’s heart suddenly hurts. “Because my dream is what kept me alive.”
There's something about the way Sanji talks about his dream that makes Zoro want to believe in it too.

Summary
Good assassins aren’t supposed to get attached to anyone. But Zoro has never wanted to be associated with the riff raff in his line of work that think themselves god. He’s sure that if any of these other assassins met Sanji, their worldview would shift. Their lives would be flipped upside down and they wouldn’t get up. If they just had a glimpse of Sanji’s smile they would understand.
Because he wants to protect that smile more than he wants to rid the world of shitty people.
Zoro was tasked to kill the Prince of Germa — but he decided that night to be bad at his job.

Summary
“A kid?” Zoro asked when Sanji brought it up during their shared watch one night.
“Yeah. Have you ever thought about having your own?” Sanji took another drag of his cigarette after asking that, mentally cursing himself for even bringing it up. The image of Zoro playing with Chopper already has his insides twisting up something funny. How much more if he imagined Zoro taking care of his kid?
Sanji never thought Zoro would ever be good with kids but it wasn't until Chopper joined their crew where he realized he was sorely mistaken. And it makes Sanji feel things he's trying desperately to keep at bay.
