Eddie overworks himself trying to fix things for Volt. Volt doesn't like that and accidentally makes it worse. they talk.
Volt flashes a charming smile at the crowd as he gestures to the door. Everyone stands and begins shuffling out.
Eddie watches as the smile morphs into a grimace, and the lights dim almost unnoticeably for a moment. If he wasn’t so in tune with the flow of electricity around here, he wouldn’t have seen it. As the last guest leaves their bar, Volt steps down from the stage, pinching the bridge of his nose.Eddie feels a sharp pang of guilt. He should stay behind and work on the repairs. The pain left from the split has been getting to him, a burning feeling nearly always present in his chest. He’s let things get bad again, and now his lover is struggling because of him.

Summary
Eddie Munson is a tactile guy. He shows his friends affection through little touches and kind words, grabbing their shoulder, ruffling their hair, telling the kids they did a great job and he's proud of them.
Steve Harrington is quite the opposite of Eddie. Most days he can't find the comforting words he wishes he could offer, or build up the courage to reach out and just touch. Growing up with absent parents will do that to a guy. He can't help the uncomfortable buzzing feeling beneath his skin when his shoulder brushes past someone, much less the full body electricity that comes with a hug.

Summary
Quirkless, young adult Midoriya Izuku has a problem. Namely, he has a crush on his purple haired, tired-looking neighbor. They keep running into each other and the guy is actually pretty nice under that deadpan facade, has a sense of humor, doesn't seem to judge anyone for their quirk status, and is constantly spoiling any cat in the building that finds him. (He's also a shameless flirt.)
But Izuku has concerns. About the strange bruises and bloodied knuckles. About the weapons he's seen when stopping by for a cup of sugar. About the shady-looking figures he's accidentally spotted his neighbor meeting with. About the fact that right after the news reported a big crime bust, his neighbor came home beat all to hell and looking haunted.
Izuku has a problem. Namely, he has a crush on his neighbor, who he's pretty sure is secretly a villain. And he has no idea what to do with that.
(or: Adult!ShinZuku AU where Shinsou is an underground, undercover pro hero trying to find a lead on a case that may or may not involve the socially awkward guy living next door. Misunderstandings abound.)

Izuku has a quirk that allows him to turn into a cat, but as of now...He's kind of stuck like this, like a cat, for /months/. It's fine, though, it means that now he can't be chased by Eraser-Head! After months of running away from that man, he would never suspect he was a cat! He thought he cheated the system, except that being a cat—a kitten—is harder than being a human. And so he got pretty roughed up when a rock was thrown at him, and many other things piled up the same way snow or trash piles up on the street.
