Cormac stepped outside with the front of his buttoned-up shirt drenched in red wine. “Hermione, wait, come on I didn’t mean to make you wait on drinks when I talked to the waitress.”
She turned glaring at Cormac and heard a chuckling Draco. “Really, him of all people? What was this to get a free me or take a swing at me?”
“Don’t start with me,” Hermione snapped at Draco again.
“What the hell is he talking about?” Cormac quirked a brow. “Wait, did you call him because of what happened?”
“No, I didn’t call him.”
“Okay, well you could have paid for your meal instead of walking out on me. I had to settle up the check because you took off.” Cormac huffed out in anger.
“Are you bloody serious? You asked me over and over in the office for just one date that you would make me feel special and you would pull out all the stops.” Hermione rubbed her forehead. “This is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant and you spent a good portion of the night talking to the waitress, when you didn’t come back I went looking for you and found you chatting her up with your arm above her head. When you came back to the table when I was getting my things you grabbed my arm. I will not be manhandled by a troll like you.”
