Rindou let out a loud sigh, groaning as he set his pencil down. “You weren’t supposed to help me!” he exclaimed. It was the right answer, of course, but he didn’t want it. Despite himself, he scribbled down the answer and pushed his notebook aside.
“Now you can eat,” Ran said, shoving his bowl gently toward him. It had cooled down a little, but it wasn’t completely cold yet. “It was getting cold.”

The music and lights overwhelmed his senses, the hands on his body helping. It didn’t take long for him to feel another hand, larger and calloused, grab his collar and pull him away from the people he was dancing with. “What do you think you’re doing?” Inui’s voice boomed, his lips right next to Koko’s ear.
Koko jumped a little, turning to look at Inui as he towered over him. Inui wasn’t much taller than Koko, but he could certainly be imposing when he wanted to be. A small, coy smile spread on Koko’s lips. “What do you mean? I’m just dancing. Same as you,” he said, his fingers walking up Inui’s chest. “Something wrong?”
“I wasn’t dancing. I was trying to get away,” Inui corrected. “I was trying to get back to you so we could dance,” he said, giving Koko an irritated expression.

“Start from the beginning,” Hana said, her blanket pulled up to her chin. Tera nodded in agreement. Koko thought it was sweet that they still shared a room, even though he’d offered to let Hana have her own room. She insisted on sharing with Tera. Every night, they would crawl into Tera’s bed and lay together while they listened to their bed time story, and then when it was time to sleep, Koko or Inui would lift Hana out of Tera’s bed and into her own bed and tuck them both in.
Koko laughed softly. “What counts as the beginning?” he asked. Earlier, Koko and Inui had been looking through an old photo album that had their wedding pictures. As soon as Hana caught a glimpse, she wanted to know all about their wedding.
Tera chimed in, “The beginning, the beginning!”

Baji took his time looking at different animals as he walked up to the front where the register was. Kazutora was sweeping, not really paying attention to Baji. He had two streaks of blond in his hair, framing his face. He’d really grown into his features. He looked beautiful. Baji couldn’t help but stare for what was definitely far too long, because after a moment, Kazutora looked up. Initially, he looked like he was ready to say something, but when he saw Baji’s face, he dropped the broom and froze.
He quickly bent down to pick up the broom, leaning it against the wall so he could focus on Baji. “Keisuke?” he spoke quietly, as if he had seen a ghost.
Oh, this was a mistake. He shouldn’t have come here. He turned around, ready to walk right out the door, when he felt a hand wrap around his arm. “Wait, please don’t go,” Kazutora said, his voice desperate. “I wanted to see you. I just had no way to find you. Please don’t leave,” he added.
