    “I know,” Bucky whispers. “But please.” His voice is soft, pleading, hopeful, and bold all at once. Then it dips lower, more certain. “Let us enjoy this while we can. I can make it good for you, Steve.”

    Steve blinks. That… sounds a little too smooth. Almost suggestive. Almost like—

    Bucky’s flirting with him.

    A mission accident reverts Bucky to his pre-war self, and Steve’s grief turns their reunion into a dangerous temptation.
