Summary
The firebird first comes to Ilsa on a bridge.
The edges of her vision are blurring and she’s fairly lightheaded when something appears in her line of sight, white and fuzzy around the edges. As the blur comes closer, Ilsa can make out a human figure wrapped in a white trench coat.
“You’ve got a choice to make,” a familiar voice rings out in the silence, and Ilsa places it almost immediately.

She wants to say something stupid like she’s not entertaining any more of this conversation but the thought of Karolina thinking poorly of her becomes too much to consider and she needs to explain. “I—I didn’t waltz back in here expecting the world. I came back to help my dad and I tried to go back to my life but they, he—kept asking more of me.
