"You aren't allowed to die without me, mackerel. If you go, I go. We do it together or not at all."
Dazai Osamu thought allowing himself to be captured by the Port Mafia is just another move on the board. He’s prepared for the shackles and the damp stone of the dungeon. Most of all, he’s prepared for the magnificent, violent entrance of Nakahara Chuuya, the inevitable explosion of gravity he’s missed for four years.
But the door doesn't break. Akutagawa looks at him with a pity that feels like a death sentence.
Dazai spent two years undercover to save his soul, assuming his partner was busy cursing his name. He didn't know that during those years of absolute silence, Chuuya was busy dragging the Tsurumi River for a body that didn't exist. He didn't know that the car bomb was a "parting gift" was interpreted as a suicide note Chuuya failed to stop. Now, Dazai is standing in a dusty office filled with letters addressed to a ghost and a hat left in a crater. Chuuya is gone. He vanished four years ago, convinced Dazai broke their pact.
Soukoku is a balance of two. If Chuuya is gone, Dazai is hovering over an abyss. He’ll burn Yokohama to find him one blood-stained coordinate at a time.- Language:

Summary
Since his capture five years ago, Chuuya has been listed as missing. Shuuji, born during his capture, has no official papers to speak of. The ones used to get a seat on the plane are fake. Not one single document will endure actual, thorough inspection. The moment his son is apprehended, he will not be let go until they know for sure who his guardian is. Shuuji also has a little note in his pocket, a blank piece of paper that he’s supposed to keep with him at all times until he’s left in the care of his father.
His other father.
His next of kin.
Once protected by the authorities, Shuuji is instructed to repeat the same sentence over and over again until he’s listened to. Shuuji will not cooperate until they do as he says.
‘Take me to the ADA.’
Or: instead of a family reunion in the middle of the street, Shuuji meets his biological parent after escaping the evil organization that captured his dad five years ago. With the help of his father he may help save his dad before it's too late.
Or-Or: What would have happened if Chuuya was taken captive years ago and has just now managed to spare his child the torment of a life in captivity.

Summary
"What the hell did you do?," Chuuya snarls, fists digging into the collar of Dazai's bland-ass beige coat.
It's never 'what happened to you', or 'are you okay'. Because whatever happened, whatever caused Arahabaki to howl in his chest, caught somewhere between elation and agony, it surely is the bandaged bastard's fault.
It's always Dazai's fault.
Chuuya goes to check on Dazai after 55 minutes. A missing scene ficlet.

Summary
“Didn’t they tell you it's illegal to be this pretty?”
“Didn’ they tell you it's illegal t—” Chuuya doesn't finish the sentence, forgetting what he wanted to say.
Dazai is awfully close to his face right now. Strangely, Chuuya doesn't mind. He definitely drank too much. There must be no other reason.
Or: Two drunk idiots who like each other but would rather die than admit it out loud.
