Summary
Divinity is beautiful, but not necessarily “pure”.
The Greek gods are not always benevolent, gentle gods—they have ugly sides to them too. They fight wars, slaughtering their enemies ruthlessly, they feel emotions like how mortal people do. They make mistakes, and they are deadly.
Divinity is the power that they hold in the world.
The power that makes them worth worshipping.
