Summary
When is a door not a door? When it’s ajar.
Jason Todd was dead—but he wasn’t.
That still body back in the morgue wasn’t Jason. Jason was somewhere else—maybe asleep in the library, or playing videogames on Dick’s couch, or sitting on a rooftop in Crime Alley. Dick would go home and walk by Jason’s favroite gargoyle and he would be sitting up there smoking a cigarette, and maybe they’d lie on their backs and watch the stars.
He isn’t dead, Dick said to himself. He isn’t dead.
And this time, his dreaming worked.
Dick convinced himself that his little brother wasn’t dead.
