Summary
Wheezing breaths drew ceaselessly, quieting all else in his ears.
Nothing from the guns.
Neither from the artillery that never seemed to stop its booming in the distance.
Only breathing could be heard.
A desperate shuttering thing.
Heaved In
Out
In
That's all he could hear.
As if the world, with every other sound in it, had been muted and laid to rest beneath glass.
(Aka my twist on the Mud Grave AU)
(Aka #2 Instead of ending up in Germany in 1923, Ed is transported to France in 1904 and proceeds to make a fool of himself.)

Summary
Applejack held her gun against the thing’s head, her forearm pinning it down while she repeated the mantra she’d kept for six years: One kill is one person saved.
(In which Applejack is in love with Rarity and is somehow worse at confessing than she is at fighting off zombies. See also: infection AU with way too many feelings)
