Summary
Imogen left home looking for answers, but something else found her instead.
Buried in the bowels of a government facility with a set of other strange prisoners, it quickly becomes clear that there's no getting answers, much less getting out, without playing along with the tests, training, and inhumane treatment she's subjected too.
But how far is Imogen willing to give herself over to a programme that promises to reshape her entirely? And what will she have to do to her fellow inmates in order to find freedom, and the truth that she's been searching for?

Summary
"The house they pulled up to was practically a mansion by normal person standards, the sort of thing you’d find in a Hallmark movie. Two stories for a single family, a colonial block of brick trimmed neatly with garlands, the dusting of snow across it lit up cheerfully in the dark of the night by the lights strung along the eaves. Orym heard Imogen’s soft inhale as they pulled up even from behind her in the back seat. He’d gotten so familiar with her over the making of their documentary, he could practically feel the shift in her.
“Fuck.” She muttered under her breath. “The hell did I get myself into?”
Orym was just as surprised as Imogen seemed to be that she’d agreed to this. He knew, of course, that his boyfriend’s big brown puppy dog eyes could get basically anything out of him, but Imogen, for all of her gentle softness, was about as strong-willed as they came. More than that, she was extremely reasonable, and given the fact that this plan was the most hare-brained thing he’d ever heard, it didn’t seem like the sort of thing she’d want to touch with a ten-foot pole."

Summary
When they kiss, it tastes like salt. It starts as a firm press of lips, unmoving, simply crushing together with the force of their longing and the stillness of it all gives rise to the rest of their senses. Laudna can hear the soft rustling of leaves and petals as they gently pulse in time with her heartbeat; she can hear the way Imogen’s sniffling breaths are becoming strained through the tear-swollen inflammation of her sinuses; she can feel each and every square inch of hot, sweat-slicked skin that tingles against hers with suppressed electricity; she can see the steady pulse of her light radiating through her closed eyelids; she can smell the mouthwatering sweetness of Imogen’s skin, hints of lavender and vanilla, and she would devour her if she could, wants her, needs to consume, needs to taste her, Gods, she’s so hungry-
