    After leaving the Band of the Hawk, Casca and Guts travel around the world together. After several months, they happen to stop at a town where a festival is taking place and they decide to enjoy their evening. It's the small, happy moments that remind Guts how beautiful Casca really is and how grateful he is to have her by his side.

    "Do you regret leaving?" he asks, glancing at her beside the fire. The flames flicker, lighting up the area with an orange glow. He can see that her expression is one of longing, and it makes his stomach unsettled for some reason.

    A bitter smile graces her features, and she replies, "It's not that I regret it, but I followed him for so long that it feels weird not to." He stirs the fire with a stick in his right hand, nodding solemnly, unsure what words of comfort to offer. Some light pressure is applied to his left arm, and turning his head, he sees Casca leaning against his body. Wrapping an arm around her waist, he pulls her closer, using his cloak to shield her from the elements. They sit in silence together with only the crackle of the fireplace.
