    Summary

The strained irony in his voice is weirdly endearing. His head is still tilted back, rested against the tree bark, and his eyelids ajar; he is not looking, but he must have sensed her sudden discomfort.
“Well. Let me remove the bandage first, and I will be able to judge fairly.”
    He stifles a weak laugh.
    “Galadriel. Are you being humorous?”
“I am just trying not to think about all the ways this could have been prevented” she retorts, managing at the very last moment not to add a blunt remark about whose fault all of this is. It is implied, anyways. When she gingerly touches the knot that holds the bandaging together, he flinches.
    “Forgive me.”
    “That’s fine. Go on.”
“I have to warn you - I am not a healer.” And again, in her mind: It would have been an easier and less blood-drenched task, had you only listened to me from the beginning.
He shoots her a pained smirk.
    “Do your best, Elf.”

    Summary

She found him in a forgotten castle tucked within the foothills of the Misty Mountains. Such relics had a way of marking the passage of time that evaded beings like them. Mossy stone and crumbling pillars gave form to the weariness that gripped her bones. The cracks that painted marble floors matched the lines in her palms and the fissures in her chest that spread when he left her.

“Oh, no,” He drawled, “You’ve caught me.”

    Summary

It’s impossible for Sauron not to fall for Galadriel. The dark lord this, the dark lord that, she’s singing his praises to everyone in earshot. But with love comes the inconvenient urge to tell her who he is.
The problem is, she sees the world in black and white: good and evil, light and dark, missing all the shades of grey Sauron believes in. If she only had a taste of power, she’d be able to see the nuance in the world—in him—wouldn’t she?
He could give that to her.

OR: What if Sauron only made one ring and he gave it to Galadriel?

Beginning in Númenor and spiralling unrepentantly into soap opera in Eregion.
    Smut starts in Chapter 5.
If you’re here for Sauron-as-black-goo tentacle porn, please proceed to Chapter 20, and remember, only Eru can judge you.
