“Owen’s missin’ the most important details,” Jamie tells her with a huff, shooting a glare at him. “He’s missin’ the part where the land that they claimed was land with a cairn on it.”
“A what? ” Dani’s sure she’s not drunk enough to lose her grasp on the English language, but she’s also certain the last thing Jamie said made no sense.
“Ancient burial site dear,” Hannah explains, and Jamie leans back, clearly happy to let Hannah take the lead when it comes to religious ritual. “A pile of rocks, usually flat. The rocks marked the grave and then to pay their respects to the dead, people would place additional rocks and stones on top. Important figures were buried under them. Chieftains and whatnot--”
“And vampires,” Jamie adds, almost too enthusiastically.
Or,
Dani had come to Bly two months ago to forget her past and so far things are going well.
That is until Viola Lloyd comes back from the dead with a vengeance and Dani is forced to confront her past and slay a vampire all in one night, with a little help from her friends.

“What happened?” Jamie croaks, though everyone knows better than to question the strain in her tone.
Rebecca looks back at Jamie. “They broke up.”
Jamie’s not really conscious of what happens then, though the next thing she knows Rebecca’s hand is catching around her elbow and she’s half way to Dani’s bedroom door already.
“You sure?” Rebecca whispers, and even Jamie’s not too thrown to see the concern in her friend's eyes.
“If not now Becca, then when?” She asks quietly, glancing briefly over to Hannah and Owen. “If not now, when?”
OR
Jamie and Dani have been tip-toeing around each other and their feelings for years now. Eventually it all comes to a boil after Dani's breakup finally forces them to admit how they feel.

“I don’t know about this Becca.”
Rebecca throws her a dirty look over her shoulder, Dani’s hand still very much firmly clasped in her own. “Lucky you don’t have a say in it then, isn’t it?” She tugs with a little more purpose now, leading Dani further into the bar.
“It’s just not really…” Dani pauses, searching for the word. “... my scene.”
Rebecca pulls her to an abrupt stop at an empty table, an acceptable distance from both the bar and the stage. “It’s a gay bar Dani,” she reminds her with a roll of her eyes, “and you’re gay. It’s exactly your scene.”
OR
Dani is dragged to a gay bar in the hopes that a night blowing off some steam will help her get over her failed engagement. Dani's not entirely into the idea, or even slightly into the idea for that matter, until a striking brunette takes the stage during karaoke and absolutely massacres Sweet Caroline.

Assume all assumptions. This is set in a pre-POI world so Shaw is working for the ISA while Root is still a hacker/assassin for hire. An alternate rom-com ish theme to the whole Shoot story. I think THINK it's funny. Maybe you might think so too.
