    the party is in s5 (which is the second last year of high school, they're 15-16. el is 15 the next year, and the rest are 15 turning 16, dustin, will and mike are 16)
    the older teens are in s6 (which is the last year, they're 17-18, except eddie is 19 because he got held back. robin is 17, steve is 18 and the rest are turning 18)
