Summary
Ayaka walked beside Lumine, the beaten path crunching beneath their shoes. They were supposed to be focused on the sun as it lowered past the horizon, painting the sky an indigo blue. Dark clouds of a similar color floated past, stars began to twinkle in the sky, and she knew behind her that moon was rising, ready to replace the sun for twelve hours.
It was beautiful, of course, but nothing in comparison to Lumine. Her first and best friend–the friend that made Ayaka’s heart flutter, that inspired rushes of eagerness and energy, that with one of those bright, kind smiles made all of her problems melt away, even if it was just temporarily. A strong, adventurous, kind woman who had saved her nation. She was brighter than the sun, and more lovely than the moon. Lumine was everything good in the world.
Or: Lumine is leaving for Sumeru soon, and the two spend her last day in Inazuma together. Some feelings come to light.
