    In which two realities converge. One, where Luffy is the freest man in the world, and the other when Luffy is a caged bird. They swap minds, and in doing so, Luffy- as he does for everyone else- somehow manages to save himself.

    Marine!Luffy swaps minds with canon, pirate, Luffy. He gets a taste of what could have been, in a lifetime where things worked out ever-so-slightly differently.

    Contains a lot of personal hcs on how I think Marine!Luffy would get into his position (he is not happy about it).
    Takes place sometime post-timeskip, in the New World.
