    Following the events on the Starfall Islands, Sonic's friends have departed on their own journeys of self discovery. Sonic is left alone at home, with his friend's empty workshop next door - and Sonic is forced to live with a piece of him missing.

    Eventually, he decides enough is enough - and that he must seek a new adventure of his own too, one that will make him feel less alone.

    Sonic may not be a military guy, but desperate times call for desperate measures. He opts to join G.U.N, and to Shadow's dismay - he is made the newest member of Team Dark. With the trio now a quartet, they set off on a journey to uncover the remains of Gerald Robotnik's secrets that have been left behind...
