Michael didn’t really have a lot going on anymore, and quite frankly, it was a little weird. He’d been living on the edge for so long (long before the vampires, even) that his body almost didn’t know what to do with itself now that it was all over. They’d dealt with Max, the Lost Boys were gone, there was a state line and a few thousand miles between him and his dad, and Santa Clara was finally, finally starting to feel like home.
That still didn’t mean he thought about his brother much.

He also might be turning into a vampire. That’s probably the big one.
The point being, he didn’t have much time to think about his little brother.

Then one day, maybe soon, or maybe years down the line, it’s all the same to David, Michael will realize the world is a lot bigger than Santa Carla and will end up in some stranger’s bed. And he’ll do that.
And that, simply won’t do.
