When Lucy and her teenage kids Michael, Amelia, and Sam move to town in desperate need of a fresh start, they soon uncover the darker side of this sunny coastal community. While Lucy tries to piece her family's life back together, Michael and Amelia keep pulling away in search of belonging. As they find connection with a local rock band and its charismatic leader, their younger brother Sam comes face-to-face with a startling reality: When night falls, Michael's new friends are even more dangerous than they first appeared.
Back at it again with The Lost Boys, this time we're doing its new musical counterpart. There will be some slight changes from the original film and fanfic but the story will remain the same

Santa Carla is steadily becoming the murder capital of the world. Bodies are turning up in tatters all over the darkest parts of town, and as the summer gets hotter, so do the tensions of those left to wonder what their source could be. Andy Frog doesn't have time for any of that. Between working at the Video Shack, raising her two younger brothers, and holding together the remnants of her crumbling family while her parents smoke away their life savings, she barely has time to make sure that her bills are paid.
When a group of bikers from the beach start to take an interest in her, she has to balance that workaholic lifestyle with the warnings that her boss Max has always given her: never to trust a pretty face and a charming smile if she's got anything to lose. But in Dwayne, she finds an anchor in a life that's always left her feeling unmoored. She starts to dream of a life that brings her more than just a paycheck and a few clearance bin tapes to watch at the end of the night. Her whole life has been spent giving her time and energy to others, and her new friends are teaching her to take some of that selfishness back, but she has no idea of the secrets they hide, nor does she see the blood staining their smiles.

Begins moments after Grandpa dispatches Max.
I left out the bizarre bit about the light in the fridge still working, while everything else was dark, because it made the AU plot twist more plausible.
Rereading this, the language feels a little overly-formal. I tidied it up in a couple places. Not sure if I will ever duck back in and rewrite the whole thing.
Maybe not.
I am pretty satisfied with the ending.
Feels, and longing, but no smut, or innuendo.
Separate from the rest of my AU Lost Boys content. This one is its own thing.

Sam and Dean make the most of this once-in-a-blue-moon opportunity to settle down for a bit and have some fun.
For Sam, that means meeting the Frog brothers with Sam Emerson and talking comics and hunting.
For Dean, that means hesitantly allowing himself to let loose with some heavy-metal-reject bikers he meets on the boardwalk.
All the while, John races to track down whatever it is that's leaving wrecks of bodies en-masse in the surrounding hub of cities before they can do any more damage...

Summary
Michael doesn't actually want to kill David. He's fighting because he feels like he has to, but even that resolve is quickly waning.
How prepared could a couple of Rambo wannabes be anyway? They'd never actually fought vampires before, and everything they knew about how-to came from a measly couple of comic books. It doesn't take long for them to realize they're more in over their heads than they realize.
Or: The night of the confrontation goes down a little (lot) differently.

Summary
The Frog brothers don't trust Michael enough to let him in on the plan, so they drag Sam out to the lair in secret. The mission goes about as well as you'd expect from a group of teenage vampire-hunting amateurs; they miss the vital organ, they fail to rescue Star and Laddie, and they don't have a car so they have to race home on their bikes.
In their panic, the boys don't notice that none of the vampires are chasing them. In fact, they spend the entire night ready for a fight that never comes without realizing that none of the vampires ever tried to hurt them.
