Summary
“Hey!” Charles caught him by the hand “Good race! Good job on the um…virages…turns! Good job on the turns 2 and 3! What’s your name? Are you here with famille? Where do you live? Is that Spider-man on your helmet?” he babbled and then smiled brightly, not noticing how the blond boy stared at him with awe this whole time.
“Umm…Thank you…eee”
“Charles!’ the dark-haired boy supplied helpfully.
“Thank you Charles, you did well too. I am… Max”
He didn’t answer other questions but, Charles did not seem to take that as an offense. They just shared this moment together, but then someone called the boys name.
“Max!” the older man, who must have been Max’s dad, came up to them with furious face and shouted something in foreign language.
The man grabbed onto Max’s arm and yanked him away from Charles. He looked scary like that, like he wanted Charles gone… The boy flinched when the men’s eyes flashed gold for a split second.
