He thinks he might have looked like a fallen star. Hurtling towards the ground from heaven above, George passed through planes of existence both long gone and yet to be. Maybe the story of Icarus was made centuries too early because in his peripheral vision his wings burned as if he were meeting the sun, instead of dim rock.
