Summary
Michael A̶f̶t̶o̶n̶ was so sure that the sole existence of just about everything was to spite him at this point. How could life (or whatever not-life is called) get any worse?
The animatronic made up of mostly wires outside the door seemed to be proving his point wrong, however.

"Has it ever zap through your wirey system how everything went so horribly wrong, to the point of getting us to this scenario?"
"I don't know, and I don't want to lower my opinion of you by learning."
That motherfucker's days are numbered.

Summary
Michael could not remember the first hug he ever got.
Only that, for a time, he never had to ask for one.
✦•┈๑⋅⋯ ☘︎ ⋯⋅๑┈•✦
Following Michael's life (and even after passing that point) through the years, from the beginning to his present time.
In every shoulder pat, shared leaning, or gentle nudge, he found a wordless connection with others, gestures that carry more weight than spoken affection.
Still, a hidden part of him longed for arms wrapping around him, pulling him into a tight, warm embrace.
(Even when he was painfully aware he was far from deserving it.)

Summary
Michael Afton loved colors. He always had.
They weren’t just a part of his drawings, they were his language, his unique way of expressing himself when words failed to convey his messy and all-over-the-place thoughts.
Every person had their own color, even if those colors supposedly shared the same name. There was always something about the way light hit them, showing off all the deeper shades in contrast to the brightness, or how a person’s emotions seemed to show co clearly in their gaze.
It fascinated him.
That was also why Noah’s unique red eyes had captivated him since the moment when they first met, as they were the perfect example of it.

Summary
The first time his best friend did it, he was overjoyed.
The second time, he didn't bother sparing time thinking of someone who was now a mere stranger to him.
The third time, he himself didn't even realize that it was Valentine's Day, only glared at his mortal nemesis while thinking of throwing the thing back.
But after all, it seemed like first impression really did matter the most, as Michael went through every one of the treasured gifts of his alongside his Valentine this year. (And more importantly, the memories attached to them.)
