When Bakugo gets sick he gets extra high fevers and is prone to hallucinations and Deku is the only one who can calm him down. It’s always been this way. In middle school when Bakugo refused to let them call Deku over he had to be sedated, but the doctors said it wasn’t worth the risk to do it for more than a few hours, so when Bakugo awoke Deku was there. It was medically necessary they said. And by then, the fever was too strong for Bakugo to argue.

"I'm Shouto Todoroki," Izuku looks down at where he and Shouto's hands are still joined. Then he looks back up, squinting at Shouto, mouth quirking downward.
"Why- What is- Are you my boyfriend or something?"
Shouto thinks that his heart might have actually stopped, and he chokes on the breath he was taking. He stares at Izuku helplessly. Of course he would think that. He woke up in a hospital bed to a boy that he DOESN'T remember holding his hand, invading his personal space, and calling him by his given name. What else was he supposed to think? He doesn't know that they're oddly close best friends and this is what they do.
Bakugou starts to snort into his hand. "Yeah, that's your boyfriend alright," he says with mirth, "You're fucking obsessed with each other."
In which a small time thug gives Izuku short time amnesia, and Shouto is left to deal with the repercussions. How can he be honest when this might be his only chance to know what it's like to have Izuku be his?
