Summary
Everyone knows better than to associate with the Pagan family near the edge of town. Especially Jean. So many years of church and his father's harsh words have taught him as much. And yet, he can't seem to keep his eyes from wandering that way any time he passes by.
Jean is raised Christain, while Marco's family is Pagan, set roughly in the 1700s. Marco always seems to know too much, and Jean always seems to think too much. It's a dismal situation, one that begs the ultimate question: Can they somehow make it, despite the hardships?

Summary
The first time I met Jean Kirschtein was a total accident and he, being Jean Kirschtein was a total ass about it.
It was because the two of us were late, and I guess the whole thing was kind of -well actually- it was really my fault.
Marco is incredibly self conscious about having lost his arm to cancer even two years after it happened.
Jean is completely infuriated about having his sight robbed from him only a few days after he turned fifteen.
After being thrust into each other's lives in their final year of high school, Marco and Jean discover that finding each other was the first step toward putting themselves back together and healing old wounds that had happened life times ago.- Language:
