Summary
Avid saw light. It was a strange sight in this dark place, one he wasn’t used to. He followed it, and then he was being pulled up, air rushing around him as he flew out of his control too fast to think.
Then he was jolting upright, coughing and spluttering and crying out, his body in more pain than he could bear.
He was alive.
(Avid is revived as a demon and Scott helps him adjust to modern life)

A poem I entered to an Oxford University poetry competition. The theme was riddle, and my brain went to Alice and the Mad Hatter smoking in an alleyway and talking about the world. This is heavily inspired by the style of the singer Ren who I very much recommend!
