"We're okay."
"We're back?"
"We're back." Though she knows nothing of what they're back to, what it means to be back with each other, or that they had even owned a time in their relation that they'd call a 'back' (she knows what it could mean; she knows its core-meaning, all despite).

Summary
"Do that thing,” she demands quietly. “With the hands."
Carmen raises a brow at her as he looks down at her hand hovering in front of him. "The thing with the hands?"
"Hand sandwich."
He breathes out a laugh as he folds both of his own above and below hers. "With white bread?"
Sydney grins. "Nutella filling?"
"Ahh, the after school deluxe."
"Glass of milk on the side," Sydney muses.
"Fucking fire."
"Absolutely elite."

Summary
“What?” Luca asks.
“Nothing, just…you’ve got me thinking. About Ever,” Carmen confesses. “Don’t know how much longer I can stay in Copenhagen feeding a cat that’s probably either dead or lost.”
Luca’s never stayed on the boat, but he’s heard the stories, and a smile pulls at his lips as he shakes his head. “There is no cat, man.”
Carmen drops his cutlery back into his plate as he looks up at him incredulously. “There’s no fucking cat, right? Unbelievable.”

Summary
“I didn’t get a chance to get you anything, so here. Gift wrapped empanadas.”
“While your presence here is enough of a gift, I am eternally grateful for these bad boys,” Michael grins, shaking the Tupperware. “You drop some off to Nicky on your way over here?”
Tina raises a brow at him. “Mind ya business, Mikey.” She stands on her tip toes and turns her cheek to him. “Gimme a kiss, though.”
Michael snickers as he bends to press his lips to her cheek before slinging an arm around her shoulders and dragging her into the house. “Happy fuckin’ holidays, huh?”
__
In which Tina celebrates two special Christmases.
