That pulls a sputtering noise out of her, the noise distinctly disbelieving. “You think I’m your conscience?”
Bellamy’s pretty sure that hearing voices in his head is bad enough, let alone the fact that it’s coming from his supposed soulmate. (Or, a bellarke soulmates au, basically.)

Murphy watched as the etchings appeared on his knuckles, as if carved with a knife. It hurt. He bit back another groan, trapping his lower lip between his teeth and clamping down hard. He heard the guard behind Abbey gasp and take a few steps back. Heard Kane bark out a worried ‘Blake’. It was over soon enough and all Murphy could do was to stare at his hand.
The letters that now decorated it were an angry red, glaringly so against the paleness of his skin. His heart pounded against his chest as soon as he laid eyes on them. It was not a word. He knew it was a name. Bellamy. What kind of name was that?

In this story, your soulmates first words they say to you will appear on your skin by the age of 8 in the color of their eyes. You will be able to feel their pain if they are meant to be romantically involved with you too. Depending on what type of soulmate you’re destined to have, their words will appear on certain parts of your body. They appear on your chest where your heart is if they are romantically destined to be with you. Soul-friends will have appearances on their arms and/or legs.
