For a long period of time, Joyce had come to terms with the idea of remaining single for the rest of adulthood, let alone engaged. It felt like a give-in, especially after her first marriage that’d crashed and burned and left her with no interest in the idea of ever remarrying.
Yet, tonight, she can’t stop smiling down at this new golden band on her ring finger. The way the diamond catches on the light and shines back up at her like it’s saying hello and calls her Joyce Hopper.
After Hopper proposes, he and Joyce head back home for their dessert, as coined in season four.

Because of course Lucy, dear but morbid child that he was, picked for his reading of the month a book about cardiac problems after he learned about Linus' high blood pressure. As was to be expected, the symptoms, complications, and death cases were the focus points in his rather lengthy presentation._
A story of three months between Linus' return to the island and his move to the Marsyas House, in which he learns that there are more ways to express his feelings than just arts and crafts projects. -
