Summary
Snowflakes flutter down all around him, they land on his clothes and in his hair, Akaashi hardly feels them as he sees the village come into view.
The roofs of houses and small shops gleam under the light from the sun peeking behind the clouds.
He turns his head, this and that way, scanning the area and the people around him.
They seem undisturbed for the most part, that’s a relief.
But his relief quickly turns to self deprecation once again.
His inner self reminding him that he shouldn’t be relieved with just this, that he needs to do more than just come and check in on the village and it’s people...he needs to unfreeze them soon.

The world has been infested by zombies, the scenes and environment are straight out of a typical zombie apocalypse film. Only few survive now, they scavenge and ransack the torn up streets to find protection and necessities.
But none of that matters much to Keiji anymore.
He’s been infected.
And although the virus hasn’t overtaken his mind and body yet...he knows it’s coming.
Every night before he closes his eyes to sleep, he wonders if he’s going to wake up just like any other day, or if the next morning he’ll be just another mindless member of the undead.
